There is an overwhelming amount of info out there and people are swamped. However, short pointers may be absorbed better. Each week, once or twice weekly, I will zero in on a specific area of job search, so my tips will encompass everything. A comprehensive offering will include one aspect of categories including cover letters, resumes, interviewing; effective networking and other issues that arise (references, thank you letters, Internet applications, and anything else pertinent).
Good luck job hunters!

  1. Copy and Paste Your Linked In Page Profile Link on Top of Your Resume

Place and center this valuable item on your resume under your email address. Your Linked In page profile link makes all the difference on your resume. An employer can click right onto your Linked In page and be dazzled by you in how you describe yourself. This is another way of advertising your professional self regardless of your field of work. You can also create a Power Point presentation in the page SlideShare component of a colorful “pie” graph representing each area of your expertise and adorned with dollars, numbers and percentages categorizing and demonstrating your industry achievements. Or you can enter an art, writing, or film portfolio onto your page in SlideShare which has many capabilities. You’ll still have to sell the employer on yourself in person but it’s a great introduction, powerful tool and effective strategy!
