There is an overwhelming amount of info out there and people are swamped. However, short pointers may be absorbed better. Each week, once or twice weekly, I will zero in on a specific area of job search, so my tips will encompass everything. A comprehensive offering will include one aspect of categories including cover letters, resumes, interviewing; effective networking and other issues that arise (references, thank you letters, Internet applications, and anything else pertinent).
Good luck job hunters!

  1. MANY PEOPLE THINK A COVER LETTER ISN’T IMPORTANT. THINK AGAIN…

People think that company officials scouting resumes do not read cover letters. Not always so. Better to have one, than not. Your cover letter is the other half of the complete application package. It showcases your personality and makes a compelling argument to read your resume and call you in for the interview. Make it professional yet a bit conversational making sure you point out some achievement and/or talent that directly relates to what that business or industry needs. Copy and paste your resume heading with your contact information so it matches and becomes a “set.”
